SO, WHAT' S HARUKO?
HARUKO is me.
I'm David Lawrie. I make music. I make films. I build things. I bre ak things. I fix them again. I generally get far too interested in how things work.
HARUKO started because I wanted somewhere for all of that to exist.
It's a place for makin g things that don't necessarily fit neatly into one box.
Films. Music videos. Photography. Digital experiences . Motion. Weird ideas that probab ly shouldn't work, b ut som ehow do.
Sometimes I shoot it.
Sometimes i direct i t.
Sometimes I'm in front of the computer for three days making the thing that nobody realised needed to exist.
And sometimes i'm working with other people wh o are much better at things than I am.
HARUkO isn'T about making MY ART.
It'S about making gOOD ART.
I happen to have amazing artists I care deeply about, who trust me with their music - and th ey give me a rather u seful playground for trying things out.
But hARUKO isn 't a music p.roduction company pretending to be a film studio.
IT' S A CrEATIVE PRACTiCE.
So if you've got a record that needs a film, a brand that needs a visual world, a strange concept that needs figuring out, or absolutely no idea what you need yet. ..
